What is GRE?
Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is an international admission exam which is a key step for business school applicants, it is a multiple-choice computer-based, globally accepted exam for applicants going for graduate school or graduate Business program such as MBA. It is a standardized exam which is globally accepted for several discipline subjects in various universities and institution.
The GRE is designed to help graduate schools assess the qualifications of applicants for advanced study in technical fields. GRE scores are used by more than 3,000 graduate programs throughout the world.
GRE has two formats which is
- General Test
- Subject Test

Depending on the responses given to all the questions of a particular section, the harder or easier section of the same type is chosen. Scored out of a total of 340, a good score is considered that of 320 and above. The score structure of the examination can be understood as follows:
- Essays are scored on a scale of 0 – 6 in 0.5 increments.
- Quantitative Reasoning section is scored on a scale of 130 -170 in 1-point increment.
- Verbal Reasoning section is scored on a scale of 130 - 170 in 1-point increment.
- Students can retake the GRE test once every 21 days, up to five times within any continuous rolling 12-month period (365 days).
- Unlike other study abroad tests, the GRE allows students to skip questions and go back to previous questions. This helps the student psychologically because it enables them to be at ease while giving the test. Moreover, if there are any discrepancies, they can always go back to solve them.

TEST FORMAT:
The GRE Test Format is divided into 7 sections namely,
Analytical Writing – 2 Questions to be answered in 60 minutes
Analyze an issue – 1 Question to be answered in 30 minutes
Analyze an argument - 1 Question to be answered in 30 minutes
Quantitative Reasoning (2 Sections) – Approximately 20 questions in each section to be answered in 35 minutes for each section
Verbal Reasoning (2 Sections) - Approximately 20 questions in each section to be answered in 30 minutes for each section
Unscored (Experimental) - The number of questions and time varies
Research - The number of questions and time Varies the Total duration of the entire Test Format is 3 Hours 45 minutes.
SECTIONS:
The Analytical Writing Assessment section of the test measures your ability to think critically and communicate complex ideas through writing. The Quantitative section of the GRE exam measures your ability to reason mathematically, solve quantitative problems and interpret graphic data. This section contains the following types of questions:

- Numeric Entry
The Verbal Reasoning section of the test measures your ability to understand and evaluate what you read and to recognize basic conventions of standard written English.The section contains the following types of questions:
- Reading Comprehension
- Text Completion

SCORING

For Quantitative part, every session begins with concept teaching of a particular topic. After explanation of concept, teachers solve problems of different types to show how concept is applied. Then students are given about 25 questions of Problem Solving (PS) and Quantitative Comparison (QC) types to solve in the class. As students solve problems, our teachers remain in the class to guide them if they face any difficulty.
